ABOUT US

 

We're a family of five (4 two-legged and 1 four-legged) and we recently moved across the province.  If you're not from Canada, the distance from Toronto to Thunder Bay is greater than the distance across most European countries - so, a bit of a big deal.

 

I grew up here, but lived in Toronto for almost 20 years (not including nearly two years in England). This blog is to update everyone we "left behind", and whoever else might be interested in us big city-slickers readjusting to life in a small, northern locale. 

 

We have two boys, who we'll call "Junior" (his initials are JR) and "the Officer" (his initials are CO, or Commanding Officer).  Junior, a LEGO creating phenom,  is also a voracious reader and a paleontologist-in-training. The Officer is our nature-loving comic relief who has become a talented mycologist in the few weeks we've been up here. Though, he only has plans to be Spiderman when he grows up.  Mushrooms lovers everywhere are already grieving.
